A short, fun route to do as a family and where we can enjoy nature. Circular itinerary that runs along rambla de Santa Maria and allows us to enjoy a forest landscape very near the town centre.

We start the itinerary at plaza del Ayuntamiento, where the Tourist Office is located. From here we go to calle de Trasmuralla, where we will find an information panel with the outline of the route, the first sign and the green paint markings that will guide us on the entire route. The path follows the road to Las Moleres Park to then ascend in the direction of the Aigües Bones urban development. Next to Can Rufí, we take a detour to the right via a gently descending forest track and a few feet further ahead find a sign pointing to the start of the path. A very pleasant forest path that runs parallel to the rambla. In this section, we cross a pair of dry streams and will not leave the path until we find a sign to ascend along a narrower path. We do different ascents and descents, cross a small spring and arrive at a narrow forest track. At this point, we have the option to go to the Aigües Bones urban development; we continue along the route in the opposite direction along the same main track. We continue along a section that alternates forest areas and agricultural fields. We arrive at an important crossroads (signs), where we find the Terranegra Way (Caldes de Malavella – Tossa de Mar) and the Hermitage Route. We share a section of path with these other routes, until we find a fork, also with signs, that will point to the right the way back to Caldes de Malavella via a route we are doing and to the left the St. Maurice Hermitage, 1 mile away following the other routes. We continue along the itinerary in the direction of Caldes de Malavella, always following the lines of green paint, gently descending along the main track where we will find different sparsely populated farmhouses. We arrive at the Las Mateues neighbourhood and a few feet further ahead, we enter Caldes de Malavella town centre. We must go towards rambla d’en Rufí, a tree-lined sand path, and at the end we will see the sign that at the start of the route indicated the start of the path. We still need to complete the initial section to arrive at the point of departure.
