Route of low difficulty for spending the morning with the family, on foot or by bike.
The Ardenya-Cadiretes Massif straddles three counties (Baix Empordà, Selva and Gironès) and seven municipalities (Llagostera, Caldes de Malavella, Vidreres, Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Santa Cristina d’Aro). The county councils had most of the ring sections in their territories signed, but there was no joint management. With the redesign of the route, the signage has also been redesigned and some new sections have been created for bikes in areas where the paths do not permit the passage of these vehicles.
The whole route can be started from Caldes de Malavella train station. In this new section of the Ardenya Route, we leave the outline of the green road next to Llagostera to follow a forest track that goes through rambla de Benaula and its tributaries, crossing Benaula Plain nd ascending to d’en Xiberta hill to enjoy its forests. Upon arriving at the top of the hill (which is not very high), we will start a gentle descent along the summit path until we arrive at Caldes de Malavella.
