Welcome to the Camp dels Ninots Paleontological Site
Below these agricultural fields lies one of the few sites that enable the reconstruction of an entire ecosystem of some 3 million years ago, specifically of the period that is known as Upper Pliocene. The singularity, diversity and exceptionalism of the materials discovered thus far have led to the site being declared a National Cultural Heritage Site by the Government of Catalonia, with the desire of protecting its environment, fostering scientific research therein and conveying to society the obtained results.
